The Day We Stopped Scrolling and Started Doing

As part of the National Project 4/4PentruPrieteni, organized in partnership with the U.S. Embassy in Romania and the American Councils for International Education, Romanian Youth Rise took to the streets — and the hillside — for a day of action and solidarity.

A team of 27 enthusiastic volunteers gathered at Dealul Gușteriței for a clean-up campaign that left its mark: 40 bags of waste collected, and a hillside restored to the community that calls it home.

Once the work was done, the team regrouped at Șura Culturală Gușterița for an interactive workshop on the values of volunteerism — a space to share experiences, reflect on what civic engagement really means, and ask one simple but powerful question: what are you doing for others?

A memorable day, made possible by the dedication of every volunteer involved and the support of our partners: Șura Culturală Gușterița, American Councils for International Education Romania, and GusterPizza Sibiu.

Because every gesture counts — and together, they add up to something real.
