Meeting of Young Classicists — Sibiu & Păltiniș, May 2025

Between 8 and 11 May 2025, we had the privilege to co-organize a gathering of young classicists in Sibiu together with our friends from Tinerii Clasici — four days of intellectual depth, cultural discovery, and genuine human connection.

Together, we explored the streets of Sibiu and uncovered the layers of history woven into its architecture. We attended courses and dialogues led by professors Vlad Mureșan, Radu Baltasiu, Silviu Man, and Fr. Marcel Donca — conversations that ranged from the philosophy of Plato and Constantin Noica, to youth and virtue, simple living, and the meaning of beauty in architecture.

A memorial service was held at Constantin Noica’s grave, followed by a visit to the mountain cabin in Păltiniș where the philosopher spent the final years of his life — a quiet, moving pilgrimage for anyone who has ever been touched by his work.

Between the ideas, there was also life: sport, laughter, and an evening at a symphonic concert together.
